OUR EPISCOPAL COMPASS -
The "Via Media"
We have welcomed members of the greater Ketchikan community to St. John's Episcopal Church since 1904. Whether you are joining us for the first time or just passing through, we are happy to have you with us. Wheel chair access to the Sanctuary is on Dock Street; to MacKenzie Undercroft through the Bawden Street side door shown above.
Come worship at St. John's. Sit with us in a space that inspires prayerful reflection and joy. Meet the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. Hear our Cantor and Organist. For where two or three are gathered together in My name.... Matthew 18:20
Light a candle.
St. John's is an historical Episcopal Church reaching out in love to people of all backgrounds. Sometimes life gets hard. We all experience times of sorrow, confusion, transition, illness and grief as well as great successes, joys, hope and grace.

Our red doors are open to everyone, no exceptions. There is a place for you here.
A treasure in the Anglican tradition
Red cedar milled in Saxman is a resonant backdrop for our Rodgers pipe organ. 14+ stained glass windows complement a Sunday's Liturgy and Prayer. Scripture tells us where we've been and, more importantly, where we hope to go as people of God. May there be peace for all who worship here.
